The Universal Law of Closet Space

Doesn't have a whole lot to do with this post, but I thought it was funny enough. I mean how did the cat get in there between all of those hangers?! Seriously.
There is a law, universally understood, as with closets so too with hangers, that the items we own will proportionately expand to fill the space allocated thereunto. That we may buy more space, it is true; but as the nature of that capacity is augmented to cover our guilty shopping habits, gratify our vanity, or exercise any degree of compulsive spending, Amen to the closet space and free hangers of that man (let's be honest...woman).

So basically: You don't need a bigger closet or more hangers; you need less crap.

  1. Guilty as charged. I have way too much crap; I wear less than half of the clothes that I have hanging up in my closet.

I'm a firm practitioner of the principle of "I don't need it, and I don't use it, but I MIGHT need it, and I MIGHT use it... someday."
