Have Love(ly) Day

Does 50 years produce this kind of love?

I don't think so.

I think that an open heart does.

The other day I heard the story of my buddy's cousin who married quadriplegic when she was 19. That was over 20 years ago and they are still happily married. Challenging, but smiling.

I had a close friend pass away with Alzheimer's disease a week ago. His widow was smiling at his funeral--but with tissues in hand. They had decades behind them, but she was looking forward to the eternity ahead of them.

Yeah, life can be tough--but love makes it worth living.

So today, love your love, love yourself and have a lovely day.

Love this Zack! Great insight because: it's a reminder that love covers many things, not just male/female relationships (dating wise). I love my friends. I love my gorgeous Max. I also love shoes and none of the aforementioned things have broken my heart (not even the shoes!). Life IS tough but LOVE makes the world go round and there is nothing in the entire universe that is better than that. CHEERS**

  3. Beautiful Zack.
I wanted to veto V-Day this year. I stayed in bed all day (I work night shifts I'm allowed). I watched a horror movie (cheesy 2nd rate horror - but hey whattaya do?) and I generally felt sorry for myself - blah blah always alone, 30 years old, my nieces and nephews are getting married, what have I done wrong, why can't I be married. All that stuff that hits you as you read peoples neverending posts on facebook. Then I realised.

    I'm generally happy. I'm healthy. I have a job, a house, a car.
I have so much love in my life. My friends, my family, my work colleagues, my passions and my hobbies.

Yeh life is tough, not easy and unfair. But love conquers all.

    Thanks for this.

    P.S. I Love your blog!

  4. What advice do you have for those who are love challenged? Besides going to a therapist. :P
